De thesis bestaat uit een sequentieel mixed onderzoeksdesign waarin een uitgebreide kwalitatieve literatuurstudie de gefundeerde basis zal zijn voor een beperkter kwantitatief onderzoek waarbij de binnenshuis concentraties fijn stof concentraties zullen worden gemeten bij houtverbranding bij verschillende types van kachels. Hierbij zal antwoord worden gegeven op een 4-tal onderzoeksvragen.
