Leiderschap en welzijn, maakt sexe uit?

Sinds 2014 is de nieuwe welzijnswet van kracht. Als het welzijn van werknemers niet al een hot-topic was, dan is het sindsdien zeker wel zo. Dat de stijl die een leider hanteert bij het opvolgen van zijn medewerkers een invloed heeft op het welzijn van zijn ondergeschikten, staat al langer vast. Maar hoe zit het met de gendercompositie van leidinggevende en ondergeschikte? Deze studie van Chiara San Giorgi onder leiding van dr. Katia Levecque ging na hoe die gendercompositie de relatie tussen leiderschapsstijl en welzijn van de ondergeschikte beïnvloedt. En wat bleek? Tot vreugde van de onderzoeksters maakt het niet uit wat het geslacht is van de leidinggevende en ondergeschikte voor het welzijn van de ondergeschikte. De resultaten waren exact waarop gehoopt werd, want stel dat de gendercompositie wel een invloed had, hoe zou dat ooit in de praktijk toegepast kunnen worden?
