PACTSweb is a web based research platform for offering psychoacoustic tests to cochlear implant patients. Its purpose is the facilitation of the repeated testing of human subjects required to produce meaningful results in the field of psychoacoustic research. The platform provides a variety of common psychoacoustic tests and the ability to manage and extend the collection of tests contained in the framework. PACTSweb offers a level of adaptability to researchers without the need of any programming experience and pursues maximum usability through user-friendly interfaces. The system is easily deployed and globally accessible by means of a web service. The platform’s responsibilities range from the generation of stimuli and the setup and execution of test scenarios to the management of test results.
