Een onderzoek naar de mitigerende effecten van stedelijk groen op het stedelijk hitte eiland. Door middel van een uitgebreid netwerk van weerstations en teledetectie technologieën wordt de invloed van compositie en configuratie van groen op luchttemperatuur geanalyseerd voor verschillende temporele en ruimtelijke schalen.

Een belangrijk deel van de Belgische geschiedenis en een uniek stukje architectuur, namelijk een verdedigingsfort, herbestemmen tot een begraafplaats en een locatie om afscheid te nemen van dierbaren. Het gaat over het integreren van een fort in de huidige samenleving.

In deze studie wordt het positief effect vastgesteld van groene infrastructuur bij het restauratieproces van kalkgraslanden in zuidelijk België.
